Parler Releases #Transparency2020 Action Plan
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - Parler, the people-driven, free speech platform, has released a memo detailing its plans to host unfiltered content during the 2020 election season, in accordance with its recently published Parler Pledge.

In its Pledge, Parler promised to be a hub for unfettered, curation-free information before, during, and after the November 3 election. Google, Facebook and Twitter, by contrast, have announced plans to control the dissemination of “misinformation,”which means, in effect: to take it upon themselves to tell their users what information they should trust and, ultimately, what they should think.

Per the Pledge:

The Washington Post’s slogan is, “Democracy Dies in the Dark.” At Parler, we add: as does a Constitutional Republic.

Trust in and respect for election results requires transparency. The People deserve to consider all sides and sources, so that they may exercise and act upon their own best judgment. No one should be banned or censored for his or her views, whether by government or by Silicon Valley do-gooders. Biased editors and content curators should not be telling us what we may hear, say, or think.

Parler will not let this brownout stand.

Parler’s plan revolves around the @Transparency2020 Parler account and the #Transparency2020 hashtag. Consistent with its everyday business model, Parler will not block, filter, fact-check or ban content based on viewpoint or ideology. As usual, the platform will allow everyone to choose for themselves what they see and hear, parley and think.

“We are all sovereign individuals and deserve to hear as many different arguments and as much information, from as large a variety of sources, as we see fit on controversial issues like the Supreme Court confirmation battle, the effectiveness of lockdowns, and the implications for voting in a world-wide Pandemic,” said Parler Strategic Investor Jeffrey Wernick. “Technoauthoritarians like Facebook should not be allowed to brownout information that does not fit their chosen narrative.

“Insofar as politicians are acting within the scope of their Constitutional powers, the time and the place for The People to render their judgment is at the ballot box, where Americans can kick them out of office if we see fit. That’s why voting matters, particularly this year. Americans should have all the information they need to be a fully informed judge. Then, once their votes are cast, they deserve transparency with respect to the process by which the votes are tallied and winners declared.

“Parler will be the hub for completely uncensored news and information, both before and after November 3. We invite free thinkers everywhere to #Erasebook, #Twexit and join the #Transparency2020 movement at Parler.”

Parler was founded in 2018 and has a community of over 4 million people. The platform is committed to free speech, does not mine or sell data, and does not censor content based on politics or ideology. Parler continues to stand with the People and against Technoauthoritarianism.
